i have black hair but i always wondered if i should dye it PINK! i'm a little scared but if you think it looks good then i'll do it. i got all the products, even the bleach from Hot Topic..=^_^=

So we've heard it all.

and I just now ran across Color Fiend (by MP)
Now, on the test strips at hottopic.com , it strongly resembles highly diluted Atomic Pink (SFX) and even RAW! Candy Pink.
However-
Ive used RAW before, once.
Back in my freshman year of highschool (I've been graduated for two years now) over unbleached, naturally pale blonde hair.
I left it in for 45 minutes, and the color didn't stay at all. I had a strawberry-tint at best.

is Color Fiend any better?
I saw pictures of the Bitchin' Blue on MadRadHair, and its was phenomenal.

edit: I realise, I'd have to bleach. My hair is currently super bleached to bright blonde/white with a little leftover pink.

Hey, i have a few questions for you guys cause im new to pink hair. i was wondering if someone could give me elaborate detailed steps on how to delute the hair color and about adding it to your conditioner, ive read a lot about you guys talking of those sorts of things and i really have no idea what for and what that does and yada yada
also can someone please show me where i can buy special effects offline..

I went pink for the first time last November. I have since been purple and blue. 

Today I went back to my pink.

I have a question (which is probably really dumb)-- How do I dilute conditioner with hair dye? Like, I read on here in a post that you can put dye in your conditioner so that even though it fades from shampooing, you can still keep it bright by doing that. I'm dyeing my hair (back to pink, of course!) in a couple weeks and was wondering how to do that. ^^;;

I made such a mess the last time I dyed my hair pink.

Not necessarily in the bathroom, but my skin was pink.

I tried vaseline and it didn't work. I guess it just dripped too much and it got on a part of my neck that didn't have vaseline on it.

I want to be better prepared this time, so that I don't end up scrubbing the heck out of my skin.

I've tried soap, diluted comet, hair conditioner, body wash, rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, shaving cream, baking soda, and toothpaste, (oh boy did that burn), and then just scrubbed until my skin was raw.

I don't want to do that again, so I was wondering if there were products that removed the color from your skin that I could just buy.

Also, I want to do the front of my hair pink with blue mayhem tips.

Should I put the blue in first, then color, or put the pink on first and then wrap like aluminum foil on the bottom, so that the pink doesn't drip?

Do you use developer or conditioner? What are the benefits of each method, and which do you think is better?
I'm getting my hair redcolored this week and I just want to know your opinions. :]
PS I'm using Special Effects Atomic Pink.

Yeah, I thought conditioner would work fine. I used it last time. My friend was telling me about how developer would work better so I had to ask. o.o
